Lesson 2: Mark Attendance (with Location & Selfie)

🎯 Objective:

To guide you on how to mark your daily attendance on CA Cloud Desk using location tracking and selfie verification.

📲 Why is Attendance Important?

Attendance is essential for daily work tracking, reporting, payroll, and overall team productivity. CA Cloud Desk ensures that the process is simple, accurate, and secure—especially for teams working in the field or remotely.

🛠️ How to Mark Attendance on Mobile App

Note: Attendance can be marked from the mobile app (Android or iOS) And Web Portal.

Steps to follow:

  1. Open the CA Cloud Desk – PMS app on your mobile device.

  2. Go to the Attendance section from the dashboard.

  3. The app will automatically detect your live location using GPS.

  4. Tap “Mark Attendance” – the app will prompt you to click a selfie.

  5. Capture a clear selfie and submit.

  6. Done! Your attendance for the day is successfully marked.

🔐 Permissions Required

To ensure proper functionality, please allow the following permissions when prompted:

  • Location Access: For geo-tagging your attendance.

  • Camera & Mic Access: For capturing selfies during check-in. (Mic permission is also mandatory, as it’s a system requirement to activate the camcorder function on mobile devices.)

Make sure your device’s location and camera are active while marking attendance.

🕒 When to Mark Attendance?

You should mark your attendance at the start of your workday and again when you leave for the day. The system records your time, date, and location during both check-in and check-out, helping your manager track work hours, punctuality, and availability accurately.

📌 Common Issues & Solutions

  • Location Not Detected? Enable GPS from your phone settings.

  • Outside Permitted area : Contact HR/Admin
  • Selfie Not Captured? Grant camera access from the app settings.
